Video 1 - Nimble Trekkers Crossing River (Timelapse)
Our nimble trekkers demonstrate how sure-footed they are crossing a raging river. Well, okay, maybe it was a stream ... but it was a big stream. And cold too! What's more important is, they all crossed safely with nothing more than some damp boots.

Video 2 - Packing Up Camp (Timelapse)
With military-ish precision, the team breaks camp and prepares for another day (that never ends) of trekking down endless scenic valleys on their way to the distant (very distant) shores of Tanquary Fjord.

Online Hangout Session

Along with “Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants”, the Summits of Canada team organized a “Hangout Session” that took place on May 18, 2017.

This was a live and interactive video presentation that teachers and students joined in to listen and learn about the expedition to Barbeau Peak at the top of Canada. They also has the opportunity to meet and speak with participants, and they could directly ask questions from expedition leader, Len Vanderstar.

This unique opportunity provided students with a chance to gain insight into various topics such as mountaineering, Canadian geography, physical activity, planning and preparing, personal responsibility, climate change, environmental stewardship, northern Canadian culture, wildlife, the power of positive attitudes, struggles and overcoming hardship, and much more!
